I am currently building my first PC i have the Asus Strix z270H MOBO it has 2 fan connectors for the CPU 1 for an AIO and 2 for case fans but i want 3 or 4 case fans (will get 4th one later ) for the case and the nearest connector which fits the fan at the back for out take is for an AIO and as i have more out take fans than intake and was going to mount a 120 or 140 at the bottom of my Obsidian 450D case and i currently do not have the fan i am going to mount at the bottom (i have an AIO connected to the CPU fan as the cable for what i think is the power connects via a sata cable to the PSU which is the only place it would fit as the AIO guide does not show the cable i have the Corsair Hydro H115i)

Solution
For Asus Z270 MB's, CPU_FAN, CPU_OPT, CHA_FAN1... as well as H_AMP headers are all configured as Q-Fan Controlled/automatic as its *default* speed (i.e., PWM); while the AIO_PUMP and W_PUMP+ headers run at a *default* 100% Full Speed (i.e., DC). However, being all 4-pin headers (supporting both DC and PWM modes), you can still manually control all these through BIOS if you want to. In short, plug the fan to the nearest header.
