Hey guys ,

im planning on getting gtx titan x or gtx 1070/1080 but the thing is i already have gtx 970 ! my question is , Is it possible to use sli between 970 and any other nvidia graphic card (like the titan x or 1070)

Thanks in advance

Solution
In the nvidia control panel with both cards in you have the option to dedicat a card as physx.

You can only sli a 970 with other 970s. You can use it as a physx card as said above, but that will only help in games that use physx which their aren't many of, especially newer games. Borderlands 2 and the batman games come to mind as games that use physx. Also make sure your power supply is adequate.

yea thats a good idea tbh since i cant SLI two different cards theres no need to keep it

your motherboard has no SLI support, it´s just crossfire ready (two AMD cards) because of the specifications of nvidia´s SLI
The PCIe slots have to be at least two x8 slots. Yours just provides (if two cards are installed) one x16 and one x4 Slot.
There are special SLI boards with that chipset, which are SLI ready, but yours is not one of them.

I got one last question bro since you're a Motherboard Master , does my motherboard support msi gtx 1070 This one https://www.alternate.nl/MSI/GeForce-GTX-1070-Gaming-X-8G-Grafische-kaart/html/product/1280375?lk=20214

(or do i need to check my power supply aswell ?)

my cpu is this one

http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/modular-gm-series/g750m/

This PSU will work without problems, the 1070 only requires about 12,5A on the 12V rail. The PSU could deliver 62A.

As long as you still have the PCIe cables from your PSU with the PCIe connectors (1x 6-pins , 1x 8-pins), you are ready to go.

Your motherboard will run this card with ease, connect it to the upper PCIe slot.
