Mankar Kameran :
So I just bought an i5 7400 cpu with an msi H110m Pro-VD Plus mobo and got everything assembled. I can't get it to post becasue I'm in need of a bios update. Is there any way to go about updating bios without having to buy a 6th gen cpu or sending back the mobo for something that's updated out of the box? I'd really like to get this up and running today if I can.
You should of went with an H270/B250 board as the CPU will work with it out of the box. That is a lower end board so it doesn't have USB bios flash back. Meaning there is no way to update the bios without replacing it with a Skylake CPU, updating the bios and swapping back to the i5-7400. Either buy an extremely cheap Skylake CPU, update the bios and return it, or purchase a new compatible motherboard.
