To have more storage. Seagate announce a 3.5 60TB model. I don't know if it already has shipped or if it is still vaporware. Samsung could likely stuff that much or more in that form factor. Given their 2.5 inch 15TB SSD.

That would be a bit too much money. Google a 4TB SSD. Let alone a M.2
