Folder disappear but the disk space doesn't change (not hidden)

Hello,
guys my download folder had a 500 Go of data, i lost all the data inside the download folder, but when i checked the disk space it was the same space before the data disappear it means the data is still there somewhere, and it was not hidden i tried "Show hidden files, folders, and drives." nothing changed.
pls i really need help on this one

If you are trying to recover them look in adjacent folders you may have dragged it by accident. If its not there at all, you could use Recuva to try to get it back. Use deep scan.

If your trying to get rid of it, run chkdsk or similar disk error scanner.

i think that the missing files are now in a FOUND.000 folder, is there another way to get them back except a recovery tool?

I found the missing data, i run a chkdsk then a folder named FOUND.009 appeared, i open it and i found all the missing data there in a sub folder.
