Underclock RAM for compatibility and latency

Hi all,

I've recently purchase new 7700K and Z270-A Mobo with Ripjaws v 3000MHz RAM at CL15-15-15-35

Should I have gone for lower frequency RAM which is recommended for the MoBo or will it automatically underclock and will there be any performance issue?

Thanks for response. It is Prime-A. Will there be any performance change and presumably it will automatically underclock if I don't change settings?

Top run a full spec , you may need to go into the BIOS and select the XMP profile under Dram settings.

The RAM frequency will not change (underclock). The motherboard runs ourt of the box at 2133mhz and would need to be overclocked for 3000mhz memory
