I got a new rx 480 and tried installing it. Couldnt get it in, used quite a lot of force, fogured out what was wrong and finally got it in. On startup i got no display and hardware not present beeps from the board. Gpu fans and lights run fine. I try flashing the bios, have to retry after using a bad memory stick, now it wont detect either my old or new cards (gtx780/rx480). This is getting. I have:

3570k cpu
Asus thunderbolt motherboard
16g ddr3
Evo labs model e 800w modular psu
2tb hard drive

What the heck am i doing wrong? Im plugging everything in right. New card works in friends pc. Only thing i can think of is i put too much stress on the board trying to fit in the first place! With the card out I still get cpu fan not detected and hardware not present bleeps which take me to the bios setup screen where i have to select the drive to boot from, but once i do so its fine! Going nuts trying to figure out wtf

Well, I cringed when i read "used quite a lot of force, fogured out what was wrong". You don't say what you figured out, I noticed that.

I'm not sure I understand this, does your integrated graphics work or no? This part "but once i do so its fine" is what has me confused.

By the way this made me cringe too " I try flashing the bios, have to retry after using a bad memory stick". The ONE time you need to have your sh*t together is when you flash a bios.

Theres a couple of prongs on the bottom of the plate stuck to the end with the outputs which i did not twig have to go in holes in my case. So i slotted the thing it and kept putting more and more weight on it like a dummy. The card is fine apparently, perhaps less so the board. Igpu is fine i get to desktop, youtube whatever. I think the dodgy memstick is what messed up the bios but i dont exactly know for sure. I dont know why it says it cant detect cpu fan, that one seems to be running fine.
