Dear All,
I have a problem now in my Windows 8, I accidentally set my user credential as standard user and now every time I would want to change settings and also access some files, windows appear and require me login as administrator and to connect a smart card.
I searched and follow many steps in so many forums available about this topic but still I cannot set back my user type as admin.

Like setting my PC to safemode and modify the scforceoption in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

When I am already in the safemode, theres no more smart card prompt but there is a prompt asking for a admin password but it still failed, as every password I could remember was error.

My system has no gpedit.msc to modify the gpedit.msc
Hope someone can help through this one.

Neither of these two which I only the solutions I found was not working for me.

Many thanks all,

I'm sorry but we will not assist in bypassing security features like the admin password.
If you can't remember the password then the only options I can see are to install a backup from before you reduced your user level or to just reinstall windows altogether. Please make a backup of your current system before proceeding with either of those options.
