Hi Everyone, I have a pre-built system from Dell. It's the Inspiron 3847 with the G3220 CPU (2014 build I believe). I recently bought a 2k monitor, the Acer G277HU but as my PC came with Intels HD Graphics, it wouldnt support this resolution. I have taken a graphics card from my Dad's computer who has the same Inspiron but the next gen, which came with the Nvidia GeForce GPU GT 705 (OEM). I'm using a DVI cable as the HDMI only supports 1080p? The DVI works perfectly but never from a cold boot. I get a 'DVI No Signal' error. After physically having to turn the system off and back on again, everything is fine. Why am I receiving this error on boot?

I read that re-inserting the CMOS battery would fix this issue but I had no luck. I also read that disabling secureboot and enabling legacy devices from BIOS fixes this but again, nothing. This is the first 'mod' I've done to this PC so due to my lack of experience, I can't seem to understand what the issue may be. When the HDMI was plugged in and displaying 1080p, there were no issues from a cold boot.

Thanks Guys, any help is much appreciated!

BIOS was reset, still no luck. Would it be an issue regarding the PSU though as after a second boot. the PC runs completely fine with no stability issues.
