Computer won't post with more than 1 stick or RAM

I did some overclock tweaking the other night and I got a BSOD due to instability (3570k going up to 4.5 OC - previously 4.2...4.4...). Temps never went over 70 during load testing. Computer restarted and it won't post. I tried resettings CMOS, etc.. Tried removing all the ram but 1 stick and it works! Bios reads the single stick, and the CPU. Thought that I had a bad stick but I went through each slot and ram and they all work (just not 2+). All ram matches and was purchased as a set.

I went to purchase a new stick of RAM (1 stick of 8GB) and I can't get it to post (reset cmos with new ram, etc).

Any ideas on what to test next? Memory seems ok.. the CPU will run perfectly fine with the 1 stick of ram.. even tried playing some games but 2GB isn't going to cut it for long. I'm leaning towards mobo or PSU failure?

Mobo: gigabyte Z77-DS3H
CPU 3570k

Good call. I don't have a part number right now - i'll update the thread.

The original memory setup that has been working for years (up to the recent issues) was 4 x 2GB DDR3. 1.5v, not sure on the mhz etc.

I went through each stick of ram and was able to get each of the 4 to boot successfully, but only individually. I tried different slots, order, and combinations. Only luck was with 1 stick of the 2GB at a time.

Fast forward a day:
I used a spare 1 x 8GB stick from a friend's rig to test (same 1.5v, but I think it had different latency). Installed it and reset CMOS. I cannot get it to post. :??:
