Bluetooth for an idiot, how do I get it?

Hello, guys, I've recently decided to upgrade from an old flip phone to an iPhone and discovered that a lot of the features utilize Bluetooth. I've never used Bluetooth before, and after spending a bit of time on it, I've realized that I must not have it on my PC.

From what I understand I can buy a card or a USB plug that will add Bluetooth to my PC, but I don't know anything about it and was hoping you could explain it a bit to me.

Yes,

You need a usb dongle that will be the radio to send and recieve the bluetooth signal.
Then you pair it with your iphone (set one device to discoverable mode, and the other to scan).

Now what feature are you trying to use bluetooth for connecting your PC to your iphone? Usually you connect your phone to a car, or speaker or headest via bluetooth.
For streaming music or transfering files the USB cable or WiFi would be tremendously better then bluetooth.
