First time buying 480, some questions

Hello,

I would like to ask some questions before I buy a new GPU, and I thought it's better to ask here. Before I continue, the GPU is for a family member who waited long enough (5 months) so that prices would be more stable and closer to MSRP. His computer is like that:
CPU: i5 6500
Mobo: MSI H110
PSU: XFX 430 TS
Monitor: 1920x1080 NO Freesynch,
which he won't change for the next 3-4 years cause of financial crisis (we are from Greece :D)

Now for my questions:

1) My first question, is for a model of Sapphire. In their site I can find three different models of the RX 480 8GB which are the:
* 11260-01
* 11260-07
* 11260-10
Now here in Greece, and in some other countries too (found it in Germany), there is this model 11260-20 which has lower Memory at 1750MHz/7000MHz and lower Engine Clock at 1202MHz and it's 10€ lower than the next model at 242€. My question is, if it's a product of Sapphire, why I can't find it in their page? Is the 10€ difference enough to buy this model?

2) Second question. There are many models of RX 480 (8GB) and I can spend around 260€. After many hours of searching and reading forums and this subreddit, I reached in conclusion, that MSI, ASUS and XFX GTR are the best models right now, followed by the Sapphire, Powercolor and Gigabyte right? Now if you had these prices what would be your choice?
* Gigabyte Radeon RX 480 G1 Gaming 8G at 243€
* Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8GB Nitro (11260-20-20G) at 243€
* XFX Radeon RX 480 8GB (RX-480P8LFB6) at 251€
* Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8GB Nitro+(11260-10-20G) at 252€
* XFX Radeon RX480 8GB GTR (RX-480P8DFA6) at 261€
* MSI Radeon RX 480 8GB Gaming X at 258-265€

MSI is the only one I found cheaper from amazon.fr and it's price varies because of Prime and shipping cost. What would be your choice? Do you have any alternative to suggest me? (amazon, overclockers, mindfactory and many other stores in Europe may have kind of lower prices, but with shipping is almost the same)

Thanks for your attention and hope it's not a long post :)

Well as long as I won't overclock or anything like that, I should be ok. Both Pcpartpicker and PSU calculators are saying that I am ok. Most of the times I have 100w available room.

Fun fact, a member of this site prompted me to buy this model saying I won't have any issue with 480 and 1060 :)

It seems there's no big difference between that RX 480 models, but neither 10€ is, right?
I would go for the MSI, just because I had better experiences with them.

I would have no problem using the 480 with that power supply, so I don't advise upgrading it. At 1080p I'd also be tempted to get the 4gb 480 instead of the 8gb. I know this card has to last a few years but consider this: When the day comes that your friend says "I'm glad I have 8gb on this card instead of just 4gb" do you really think a 480 will have enough processing power for those new 8gb demanding games? I don't. I think at that point both the 4gb and 8gb 480 will be considered 'low' powered enough that framerates will be similar regardless of memory.

If you could buy a 750 Ti today with 2gb or 4gb or 8gb, do you think it matters at this point? No because the 750 Ti itself is the limiting factor, not the amount of memory. There are specific use cases where extra memory may be helpful today. If your friend plays games at high settings and like to use graphics mods in his games that require even more vram, that's a good reason to get the 8gb. For most people though it'll be a waste.

Well that's true and I agree with you, but I believe games will need more than 4gb in the next 1-2 years even in 1080. Also he wants to play everything at least for now with Ultra-High graphics (which again I think more VRAM is better) and who knows, perhaps he ll dive in the MOD world. It's mostly a safety net for now and we both agreed on that.

Now my problem is that most reviews are kind of old and with current drivers many things have changed. Most people recommend either an MSI or XFX GTR so I am between these two. What's your personal opinion on that?

Appreciate it. I would like to ask you 2-3 things:
1. What's the max temp you had? (excluding benchmarks)
2. Is it loud? Case will be near and we would't like any extra noise.
3. What's your average fps and graphics on your games? (1080)

Sorry for the delay,
1. It went around 75 - 78°C at full load when playing The Rise of Tomb Raider -TR- (2016) in 4K @ high settings
2. At full load you can hear some noise but you can manage fan speed using programs ie Afterburner, but I assume it won't be forced that much when playing at 1080p. When idle it's completely silent. Most of the time I use headphones so I can't hear anything.
3. All in high settings / 1080p: TR (2016) 64 fps. / Shadow of Mordor 84 fps / Metro Last 47 fps / Batman 68 fps / DOOM 74 fps / GTAV 58 fps.
For me it's a pretty decent card, specially at 1080p.
