I just built my first PC and Its running quite slowly. I tested it out by running Borderlands 2 (it was the first game I saw and clicked on) and the frame rate was garbage, it was super laggy. Even just being on chrome the computer would slow down.

My build:
GTX 1060 Extreme Gaming 6g
i7 6700k
32G DDR4
Asus z170 pro gaming/aura

Bad frames on BL2? Lol you must be running off of your CPU integrated graphics for some reason. Make sure all drivers are installed just like Supahos said :) if that doesn't work make sure your computer is recognizing your GPU, Open run type dxdiag check display and make sure the GPU is listed :) but yeah, Coming from a speedrunner of BL2 you should be getting at least over 300 fps on that game with your system.

LOL

if you dont have a cpu cooler dont use the computer

that is your issue, cpu is thermal throttling to save itself from dying

No. Your specs could easily run on a good quality 450w PSU.
