Looking to Upgrade my CPU

I am looking to upgrade from my i5 4590 to something newer and faster. I mainly game on my computer and my 4590 seems to be pushing the limits (since I normally game at 2k-4k resolution). Anyways, I compared my i5 4590 to the i5 6600k and the i7 6700k on CPUboss.com however the site shows the 4590 out performing the other two in most categories. I will have to upgrade my motherboard as well but am not worried about finding one of those. If someone could just help explain what would give me the extra boost I am looking for that'd be great!

16 Gb G Skill Rip Jaws RAM
EVGA GTX 1070
1 TB Hard Drive
250 GB Samsung SSD
MSI Z97-G55 Motherboard
CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W Power Supply

There is a link to a pic of the cpuboss comparisons. But yes, I play all of my games at ultra settings and then at 4k resolution and usually get 10-30 fps. Games like The Division, I cannot run at 4k and Ultra settings.

Well at 4k you are much more limited with your GPU than CPU.
If you want to game at 4k you will need stronger GPU not CPU.
GTX 1070 is more than enough for 1080p and great for 1440p(2k) but for 4k you will need GTX 1080 or Titan XP.
