I'm looking to buy this card, its on sale where on live atm at a bargain price. I looked up reviews though and people say it is has heat problems. there are a few that say the bios updates fix this, and some say that the reviews are just for a bad batch of these cards. What can I expect if I buy this card now and what truth holds to the rumors arouns this card?

Radeon cards run hotter than nVidia ones, and it also depends on the exact brand and model you are looking at. You may need to adjust the fan profile settings to turn on sooner or run faster, but then you will have a louder system.
