i get 90 fps on csgo with my 6402p on very low settings. My processor is slow i know but should i switch to a i7 2600k if so what cooler/heat sink do i use or do i choose another processor.I have a gtx 960 for a graphics card(i want to run gta 5 and csgo with more than 90 or 100 with maybe medium settings or high:) or maybe i3-7100 is another option i would choose?????

Going from your 6th-gen i5 to a 2nd-gen i7 would be a side-grade, not an upgrade. You would get much better performance increase by simply upgrading to a GTX 1060. It is nearly double the performance of the GTX 960.

If you must get a better CPU, just upgrade to an i7 in your current socket/generation type. (i7-6700) but it wouldn't give you as much performance increase as a GPU upgrade to a GTX 1060 or better would give you.

*Your i5-6402p is better than an i3-7100.

i will try to get a msi 1060 if possible but will it make a noticable change because mt gtx cost around the price of the 1060

Heads up csgo is heavily cpu bound I suggest upgrading the cpu instead of the gpu as you will get no better performance in csgo with it. Just get a 6th or 7th gen (update bios first) with a higher frequency. Also even tho the i5 is slower it should still get better fps that 90 even I got 200+ on high with my old fx 8320.

No you need a better GPU you are GPU bound not CPU bound

You can max out cs go on a hd 7770 and get 200fps. He is not gpu bound but cpu bound due to the lower clocked p version of the i5.
