Hello Toms Hardware,
I recently just ran into the problem of my setup being out to date so i was woundering what a good Battlefield 1 / other AAA CPU solution would be. Right now i have a LGA 1156 Motherboard with 6 gigs of ram a Gtx 660 oem 600w PSU 128 gb ssd 2tb hdd. I already planned on upgrading to a Rx 480 and 16 gb ram. I was thinking about maybe getting a dual e5 2670 setup but i dont know if thats a good idear. Thanks on forehand

A dual E5 2670 setup would require a dual socket motherboard, and even if you got it up and running you could still get better gaming performance for less money on a newer system.

What is your current CPU? If you had to get a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM what is your budget?

Keeping with you motherboard I would suggest an i3-560, but I would greatly recommend upgrading to a newer platform such as Skylake. And picking up an overclockable i5 would last you a long time, though they are pricey. Or of course you could wait for Ryzen.

My current CPU is a i5 750 Overclocker by 50%. My budget is around 400 dollars.

I heard that the 6600k was barely enough for bf1 and that you need at least a 8 core or a powerful quad core

There have been many people having the 6100 struggle to keep up, but not the 6600K. At least not that I've heard of. And Battlefield 1 uses 4 cores anyways.

So you say the best solution would be a 6600k?

OH DONT FORGET! if you plan on overclocking, be sure to get a z170/z270 board. And Intel's K processors don't include a cooler!
