Can this CPU fit on my motherboard?

Solution
Yes it can. 1151 Socket fits Skylake CPUs. For future reference to questions like this, you can use pcpartpicker.com to see if certain components are compatible :D

Note however, that if you are pairing a CPU with an older motherboard (like say, instead of Skylake, you paired your mobo with Kaby Lake), you might need to perform a BIOS upgrade on the Mobo first before you can use the newer chip.

Using an older CPU with a newer mobo (EG skylake with a H270 chipset) don't have that problem.

True, though the combo listed won't need a BIOS update.

There shouldn't be any issues with installing Skylake, all existing mobos that support it should do so out of the box, no need for BIOS update, but still, update it regardless.
