Hello so i recently bought a brand new Asus Rog strix z270f mobo, and a intel 6700k 4.0 ghz unlocked also a ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 and i seem to be getting 200 fps and then it drops to 50fps randomly consistently, at no point have ibreached 400fps on league_of_legends with this $700 card. So i tried my Gtx 770 and i seem to be getting more and better consistent frames with that and its 3 years old. Help please!!

First, you're asking quite a lot to even hit 400fps. It's unrealistic to expect over a certain amount in the first place, because anything past your displays refreshrate is an absolute waste. If you have a 144hz monitor, what resolution are you trying to play it at?

Does it stay at 50fps?

I've seen this quite often with any system I've ran league of legends on. It's something with the game. I saw it with an old 770m, a newer 900 series m (can't remember), and sometimes on my current 1080. Turn on vsync, you're making the card do way too much extra work. If it's just cranking frames, and something comes up where it has to pause to load, it will appear to "freeze."
Does it do this on other games?
