I Tried to recover the data from 'chkdsk' but when i enter it- it shows 'file system is RAW, unable to recover RAW files. kindly help out.

Checkdisk doesn't recover data, it fixes file system errors. Thats why it won't work on a raw file systems, Raw means there isn't a file system there it understands.
Give Recuva a try.
