So last night I was using my PC normally then all of a sudden the internet went out briefly. When it came back on it was working for everything but my desktop. My laptop works both wired, and wirelessly. I have browsed this website to help solve my issue, but to no avail. I have tried. Manually setting my IP, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, turning my power supply off for an hour, resetting the modem and router many times, using "netsh winlock reset" many times, I have tried disabling unneccesary network adapters in device manager, I've even tried every single port on both my modem and router. My desktop is the only thing having issues, my roomates have had it working for them both wired and wirelessly shortly after resetting the modem the first time, but even after resetting it many times for myself it still doesn't work. I have done everything I can possibly imagine. I have installed nothing new that could have caused this. Could it have been when the modem got reset it did something to my adapter?

you do not mention if this is a laptop or desktop ...

have you looked at the connection on the PC, where the cable is plugged in, normally it should have 2 leds one on each side of the plugged in cable on the PC. do you get any led lights ?

normally when a PC is connected to a router , the router should (depends on models) a 1.2.3.4. light on front of unit to confirm connection, is there a light lit for your computer ?

Have you tried to change the cable position on the router? i.e. plug a known cable into the socket your pc was connected at the router to confirm the port on the router isn't dead.

if you go to start > This PC > Computer > System Properties > Device Manager open up the + in front of the Network Adapters, is there a...
