My iPhone 6 (iOS 10.2) no longer connects to any eduroam wifi connections, I've been getting this problem ever since I upgraded to iOS 10

My login works fine and it asks me to install a profile which I allow it to but afterwards it doesn't absolutely nothing else, all it then shows is a spinning circle next to the wifi name. Then after a while it just drops down under 'CHOOSE A NETWORK...' The eduroam wifi im trying to connect to show's full signal strength as well.

It seems like everyone else with iphones are ocassionally having trouble connecting to eduroam but android users don't, but I keep getting the same problem every single day when I come into the college.

It's just really frustrating that I cannot connect to the eduroam wifi at all, I was able to last year but now I don't know what's going on.

I tried pressing forget wifi and re-entering my login details, resetting network settings, doing a hard restart by pressing the power button and home button together, nothing worked. And I can't reset my phone either because I have valuable photos and videos on it that won't backup to icloud or restore from icloud due to an error or even backup to my PC because windows 10 keeps corrupting it.

What is causing this problem? I don't have many support options now because my iphone's warranty has expired a long time ago.

There are pretty clear instructions on apple sites on how to go back software levels. Unfortunately apple does not let you use older software version for long before they stop supporting them so you can only go back so far. I think the oldest you can get today is 10.1.1 You should not lose anything.

This is pretty much the standard apple problem. They feel that anything in their store is the only way to do things. Anything else you do not need because the apple god has declared it does not exist. What likely happened is the app that the college is using has not gotten their upgrade approved by apple. Many times this is because apple is trying to extort too much money but there is no way to tell. You really have no choice you...

I think I found what the issue was.

Apparently the room I'm usually in for 'Workshop' and 'Tutorial' has a very low internet range, the internet range is stronger in other classrooms so the problem was that the internet range is not going towards the classroom I'm normally in.
