Last night my PC started crashing with a blue screen and it displayed the error message "BUGCODE_USB_Driver." It happens about every hour or so while I cam actively using my PC. I left my PC on all night and it never crashed. I ran this program called WhoCrashed and it shows me this message when I run it after every crash:
On Wed Wed. 02-15-17 2:12:13 PM your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\windows\memory.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: usbfilter.sys (usbfilter+0x23C6) Bugcheck code: 0xFE (0x4, 0xFFFFE0018CFB1930, 0xFFFFE0018CFB2F50, 0xFFFFE0018F4C4A0C) Error: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER file path: C:\windows\system32\drivers\usbfilter.sys product: AMD USB Filter Driver company: Advanced Micro Devices description: AMD USB Filter Driver Bug check description: This indicates that an error has occurred in a Universal Serial Bus (USB) driver. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: usbfilter.sys (AMD USB Filter Driver, Advanced Micro Devices). Google query: Advanced Micro Devices BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
I downloaded and installed this: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds031905
I'm not sure why it says Notebook but it's the only thing I could find. The problem still persists anyways.
I also unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Power Management settings of my USB Root Hub Properties. This didn't help.
The only new hardware I have on my PC are new speakers but they are simply plugged in with an aux cable so I don't think that would be the problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Are easytune and on/off charge part of the package I downloaded or separate?

Also, whenever I run WhoCrashed it displays two messages, but the first one is always vague and unhelpful.

Would this method of removing them work? I found it on another forum

1. Open the Windows registry, by clicking on Start > Run and typing regedit
2. Navigate to the following location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}.
3. In the right hand panel, if the the UpperFilters entry exists, then delete it.
4. Go to the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\.
5. Delete the usbfilter string.
6. Delete this file: %system32%\drivers\usbfilter.sys.
7. Reboot your computer.

I don't actually see AMD filter driver in my device manager. I can only see this when I open up the driver details for any of the USB contoller entries.

Okay I found the AMD Catalyst Install Manager in Programs and Features but I don't think uninstalling this would remove the drivers I installed as it is just the manager. What should I do?

By following this guide? (just double checking)

Also, what's the worst that could happen and what do I do to reinstall it if need be? Thanks.
