I'm thinking it a power supply issue. I have a nvidia 780ti and a 750w corsair power supply.

It doesn't shut down while on the internet or anything, but when I play games or use intense applications (such as Photoshop) it just shuts down randomly. So I'm assuming the 780ti is just too much for the power supply to handle??

Also, I have
8 GB ram and an Amd fx 6-core processor.

I just wanna know your opinion before I blow a bunch of money on a new power supply..

Usually when a system starts shutting down the 1st 2 things I check is if the system is over heating or if the power supply is failing. Since the system is only turning off when it is under stress both of these issues could be the cause. Be sure all the fans are working properly and all the vents are clear. A good air flow in the from and out the back and/or top works good. I take my system out side in the summer time and blow out all the dust with my air compressor, I hold the fan blades to keep the fans from spinning and breaking. If you have a spare power supply strong enough to run your GPU you could swap yours out and see how it works under stress.
