hi everyone
I am shopping for a new PSU that is 500 Watts or more and does have a least a 6+2 PCI-e power connector
The options that are currently in my reach are
XFX TS Series 550W 80 Plus Bronze PSU (P1-550S-XXB9)
XFX ProSeries Core Edition 550W Full Wired PSU 80 Plus Bronze
Both of these are for exactly the same price
OR
Cooler Master B500 Ver.2 PSU (RS-500-ACAB-B1)
for slightly less

Solution

If you draw the full power possible from those cables on the B500, the power supply may fail. It'll definitely be pushed right to the limit.

The XFXs will be comfortably within what they can handle. That's the safer and better approach.
The XFX TS 550W and XFX Core Edition 550W are identical on the inside, the TS is just a name change to fit a newer naming scheme (some of the other members of the TS series have different internal designs than older Core Edition models). No wonder they cost the same.

They're high quality Seasonic-built units.

The Cooler Master B500 is significantly lower quality.

that is really weird as the B500 does have 2* 6+2 Pin PCI-e power connectors while the XFXs only have a single 6+2 Pin PCI-e and an only 6 Pin PCI-e power

and sorry for the really late reply
I just got home from school
