https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/wcCdtJ I'm basically looking to not have to upgrade this PC for quite a few years, and to not spend more than $1500 AUD on it. I also have an external disk reader and I am set on that case unless you can think of anything cooler that comes in gunmetal grey and has a disk reader slot.

I've picked you everything I'd pick for myself on a set $1500 budget mate If I wanted a good quality , red/black colour matched build.

On your original list you were way way overspending on the motherboard & secondary hard drive.

The i5 7600, is 10% faster more or less than the older 6500, you can't beat asrock fatality boards on bang for buck quality & looks.

The mx300 - slower on paper than an 850 evo , in the real world unnoticeable , it's also cheaper & has an extra 30gb of storage.
WD black - really really massively overpriced, the tosh drives I own 6 of - cant fault them , fast, quiet & reliable & half the price.

The evga g1 you picked is not a great quality unit, the antec is seasonic based , modular ,5 year warranty & has...

Edited the original post. I had to re-choose the parts and I selected for the currency to be displayed in AUD. Matching part for part the build is more expensive than I anticipated. If you could suggest any cheaper alternative, that would be good also.

More sensible , $100 cheaper.

Is there anything out of the ordinary with the build? Is one part abnormally higher quality than the other parts? I just want to squeeze as much out of the build dollar for performance wise. And do you recommend each of the parts you've listed, like, are they reputable parts?

The evga g1 you picked is not a great quality unit, the antec is seasonic based , modular ,5 year warranty & has plenty of power for those components.
Its also $30 cheaper & also red/black themed - what's not to like ;-)
