Hi guys!

I´m having problems with a Gigabyte Nvidia GV N730 2gb...

When the card is NOT installed, everything works fine, but when I install the card (I PUT the card in the pci), I loose internet connection, or the wifi adaptor just disapears. If I reboot, it comes back, kind of random.

Again, with the Gigabyte out, all is back to normal.

BTW, the driver installer for the graphics card stops and says that cannot find compatible hardware.

I have tried all PCI changes in bios and moving components from one bay to other, and cannot solve the problem... Any ideas?

My system:

MSI z170A PC Mate mobo
i7 6700k
16gb ddr4
win 10 64 bit
wlan: ASUS PCE-AC51

Thanks in advanced!

Ok, I found it, you wont believe what it is... **facepalm**

There is a gemoetry problem with the chasis... When the screw is set and full tightened, the plate moves and tilts and makes bad contact in the pciex1

I left it without screw, well adjusted in the pciex1, and everything works well ...

:-D
should not do you use a M2 device as well ? sometimes using that may disable a slot but try another card to see if it does the same [maybe a buddy got one to test with ]

if it does the same maybe a defective board and the pci-e slots lanes / tracings are shorting in some way ?

I don't know if bent pins in the cpu socket may cause this ? may need to take a look at that ?

screenshot from here as a example

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/319446-30-asus-p8z77-1155-bent

then you got that good old win-10 [best and greatest OS ever] ????? it does as it wants not as you do anyway

I got to wonder if that older lesser series card is supported under the motherboards bios ??? that's a puny card to use in that strong build anyway .

you need to find a known working card test with it and have that wifi adaptor removed when doing so .

you see here from that boards bios list a few of these '' - Improved PCIE / vga compatibility. ''

they may see issue with some cards / devices being used on that board ???
