My question is; is it really that difficult to manage non modular cables- as most people see it out to be? I mean. The case i am getting is the phanteks eclipse p400s. Phanteks p400 eclipse

I see some extra space at the back behind the power supply, could i not just neatly stuff extra cables behind there? (Refer to diagram - http://imgur.com/gXvo5dG)

Thanks in advance

You're not going to die because of getting a regular PSU, modulars were mostly made to increase prices and because some guys thought adding connectors would look cool (and then made case shrouds to hide those connectors...)
Just use some zip ties to secure the cables you'll not use.

It's not a big deal, I think that the big advantage on modular PSU's is not really the space and cable management benefits, it's the fact that you may easily replace their cables with other colors or longer versions as you see fit. Of course, there are some scenarios where you'd rather have as few cables as possible, but it's not like you are trying to fit a cow into the case.
