I have an M5a97 R2.0 motherboard and am running Win7 64-bit. Up until yesterday, my USB 3.0 ports on both the front of my case and the rear of my motherboard were working perfectly, but have now suddenly stopped working. They still provide power to any devices that are plugged in, but windows doesn't recognize anything plugged into the ports. The drivers are up to date and checking in the device manager shows no errors. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers several times, checked to make sure that the ports weren't somehow disabled in the BIOS, and reset the CMOS, none of which have helped. I'm just about at the end of my rope here, and don't know what else I should try. Anyone have any advice?

No I don't, and I'd prefer not going down that route if at all possible. I've basically no familiarity with Linux and wouldn't want to muck about with it unless I absolutely have to, even with someone to guide me.

I have, and everything is connected fine. Ports worked just the other day, computer hasn't been moved much less opened and connections fiddled with for weeks.

I'm in Windows 7, tried the latest version and several previous versions already.
