i want to buy a cooler for my i5 4460. Now my question is whether it's better to put a better cooler on the CPU or to replace the stock case cooler in the back. Which of those 2 will benefit me more and if i get a cpu cooler can i use it eventually on a new cpu one day or will it be useless.

And also if you know some good case/cpu coolers that aren't too expensive, feel free to recommend

Solution
Okay heres what i would suggest
Case Fans:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103193&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=coolermaster_jetflo_120-_-35-103-193-_-Product
For a cpu cooler i would suggest this one:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF2DZ6565&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
and if you want it to be better just go ahead and get a extra one of the jetflo fans and replace the fan on it with that

Okay so a few questions we need answered here
1. did your cpu come with a cooler?
2. what case do you currently have?
3. what motherboard do you have?
4. if you have a graphics card what one do you have?

I need to know this as i could reccomend so many things however there is the issue of space and if you have enough. Also i need toknow what size fans your case supports and how many or i cant reccomend any case fans. Also with intel technology the stock fan is usually just fine infact i use amd and its stock cooler is perfectly fine and the run hotter than intel. Its going to be more a case of having the right case cooling.

gygabite B85-HD3 motherboard
gigabyte xtreme gaming gtx 1060 6gb
aerocool strike x one case

and i do have that little stock cooler on the CPU. Also the reasoning behind getting a cooler for my system as i said above is because i am going out of country and can get it for cheaper than i could usualy
