Hello,
Could someone please answer the following question for me? If I want to add another set of 2x8 rams will my motherboard be able to read them?
The reason I ask is that I've read online that these rams are compatible with my board but only for dimm 1 and 2.
I have the following motherboard:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-GAMING-M7.html#support-mem
and use the following rams:
CMD16GX4M2B3000C15
I have read online about dimms and how rams are split but I do not understand based on MSIs' website what is the difference between the ones I use and others that can be used as dimm 4.
Apologies for the dumb thread but wanted to find some answers for my specific situation before committing to buying the memories.

Basically the difference you are probably seeing is that what you have right now is a dual channel kit and there are quad channel kits. When upgrading your memory keep this in mind you will need 2 dual channel sets of ramnot 1 quad channel set. However it seems your motherboard supports up to 64gb. So as long as you get dual channelkits you could technically do a max of 16gb sticks in each slot
