How can I find out what keyboard I have? It's basically Swedish but there are some keys with three groups of symbols. For example, Ö Ø Æ on one key. The first operates with SHIFT, the second with AltGr and the third I don't know. Thanks.

Solution
The character on the right cannot be accessed. It is just a symbol on the key for users of the Danish keyboard setup, since the same physical keyboard is sold in all the three countries, and the Danes are used to have that character in they position of the keyboard.
You have to use the next key to the right to produce that character. Or change to the Danish keyboard setup.

Let me refine the problem. I know I can pick whatever keyboard I like, but it would be useful if I could have the one that corresponds to the actual keys. The keyboard is some variant of a Swedish layout. I might be able to narrow down the field if I could find out how to activate all three of the symbols I posted. By the way, my OS is Windows 7. The machine came with Windows 10 but I uninstalled that and replaced it with Windows 7 which I prefer.

Thank you for your interest.

The tool' description is right on the page I've linked to: Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator 1.4
Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator allows users to create or modify keyboard layouts
Ever wanted to quickly and easily define your own keyboard layout for a language Microsoft doesn't support? Or define your own keyboard layout so you can quickly and easily enter your favorite symbols with a simple keystroke? Well, want no more: the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator is here!
The Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator extends the international functionality of Windows Vista by allowing users to:
Create new keyboard layouts from scratch
Base a new layout on an existing one
Modify an existing keyboard layout (.KLC) file and build a new layout from it
Package the resulting keyboard layouts for subsequent deployment and installation

Your keyboard is made for use in the Scandinavian countries. They key you describe is used for Ö in Swedish, Ø in Norwegian and Æ in Danish. If you want to write Ø with a Danish keybord you use the next key to the right, which also is used for Ä in Swedish and Æ in Norwegian.

These 3 symbols are on the same key. The one on the left is accessible by just pressing the key (and its majuscule form using the Shift key). The symbol in the middle is accessible using the AltGr key (again either alone or with the Shift key). But what combination of keys brings up the symbol on the right? It's not Alt. (Btw, my OS is Windows 7.) Thanks.

Picking Finnish Swedish with Sami gives me the best fit for the non-letter keys but then, instead of qwerty, I have azertt. Anyway, the Danish one is definitely out because it doesn't select the leftmost symbols. So the actual variant is something Swedish, Finnish, and possibly Norwegian. Anyway, I sort of understand the thing now so my thanks to everyone who responded. Best wishes.
