Hi all, looking for some advice on replacing my current fans on the H80i, current ones are stock and are a bit noisy/whiny these days when under load.

My main aim in replacing the fans is to reduce the noise.

Was pretty much set on the replacement being the Noctua NF-F12 but going for the IndustrialPPC PWM - 2000 version due to the colour. I did see the 3000 version but I think this might not be required for my setup but happy for others to share their thoughts on it.

I am using an i5 6600k, at the moment its stock but would look to overclocking when needed, no insane OC's, something around the 4GHz mark.

I have now just read about the Corsair SP120's, in particular I have seen the SP120 High Performance edition and they come in a pack of 2 which is essentially the same price as 1 Noctua.

So that's pretty much it, just looking for some feedback from people that have maybe tried these fans and their thoughts on it considering the CPU I have and the overclocking point, will the Corsair SP120's do the job for what I am needing or am I better spending the extra for the Noctuas?

From reading articles online I believe the Noctuas to be better fans, but if the Corsairs can do what I need then I'd be happy to get them and save the cash.

Thanks in advance.

Basically look for a 120mm fan that is four pin first of all.
Then look at the volume of static air the fan states it can push out in CMF rating.

Also take note of the Rpm range the new 120mm fan can spin at.
The faster a fan spins in rpm the more air it can move in CMF.

But fans with a high air pressure rating can often move more ait flow at slightly lower rpm speeds to keep the noise down of the spinning fan White zombie.
