Hello there! I am new to being a user but I've been looking on here for awhile through the years for different things. I'm seeing if you guys can help me with opinions.

I am seeking to buy parts to build a gaming pc, I'm trying to focus on some good parts and I'm seeking to have good long term value.

My budget is about $1200. Preferably I would like to include a monitor, headset, mouse and keyboard. I'm trying to see if any of you guys can help me with your wisdom. Looking for a 120 hz monitor if possible. I can maybe be a little wiggly with my budget to go over a bit by a hundred or so. Any build recommendations are sincerely appreciated! !!!

Add HDD down the lane. That SSD will last you months before it runs out of space.
