Computer suddenly won't recognize my graphics card

My specs:

CPU: Intel i7 6700K

Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA1151

GPU: ASUS Geforce GTX 1070

PSU: EVGA Supernova GQ 750W

I hope somebody can help me. I was on my computer this morning and noticed that a fan in my case came unplugged, so sat my computer on it's side so I could open it up and plug the fan back in, when all of a sudden my monitor went black. I figured I must have jostled something, so I went in and checked all of the connections and everything looked fine. However, now my computer doesn't recognize my graphics card. It's plugged in, it lights up, the fans spin, but nothing appears on the monitor. However, if I plug my monitor into my motherboard everything works just fine. I tried plugging in a different graphics card to see if that was the problem, but my computer won't recognize that one either, even though it lights up and the fans spin. I tried putting the card in a different PCI slot, but that doesn't work. I'm completely at a loss.

I took the thing out completely several times to try and figure out what the problem was. I even put in a different graphics card. I thought that it came loose too, but everything lights up and spins when I turn the computer on, so I'm not sure how I can tell if it's not sitting in it's slot properly. Also, what do you mean by a different output port?

The other graphics card I tried (an ancient but still functional gtx 460) had the same problem. The fans spin, it's plugged in, but nothing displays. The dvi-d cable I use works when I plug it into the motherboard, so I can't imagine why it would suddenly stop working for both the gtx 1070 and the 460. I would try using an HDMI plug, but my monitor doesn't have that as an option.

Your board might have gotten damaged from moving the system, it seems like. Can you try either GPU in a friends computer to see if they work there?

If the GPUs work there, the board is likely the culprit, and damaged. If not, something else is going on.

That's what I'm afraid of. However, is it possible for the CPU to light up and spin even if the motherboard itself is damaged?

Yes. Your PCIe slot could be bad, and the rest of the board be good.

I had one pin bent in my CPU socket, which made two of my four (The B Side) DIMM slots not work, but the board ran fine and could overclock and do whatever.

I'm sorry, I mistyped. I meant to say GPU, not CPU. I'm fairly certain my CPU is fine. So the pci slot could be damaged, and yet the GPU inside of it would still turn on and spin?

Fair enough. I think I might try installing the card into a different pci slot. There's three of them on the motherboard. But just so we're clear, it's possible for the slot to be damaged, even though the GPU lights up and spins it's fan while inside of the slot?

Ok, so I put the graphics card in question into a different PCI slot, one that has never been used so it shouldn't be damaged. I also went into the BIOS and set it to boot from that pci slot. However, I'm still having the same problem. The card lights up and the fans spin, but nothing shows up on the monitor.

Well, I tried the second graphics card and that didn't work either. Unless both of them just suddenly decided to stop working at the same time, I think my motherboard might be the problem. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test my cards in a different computer. Thank you for your help.
