Pc starts for 5 seconds than turns off

Today I bought brand new parts for my pc
- msi gtx 1050 graphics card
- corsair cx750m 750w power supply
- wd blue 2tb hdd
- hyperx fury 240gb ssd
- cooler master n300 case
To go with my older parts
- Asrock z77 extreme6 motherboard
- Intel i5 3.2ghz processor
- 2x g.skill 4gb ram

I assembled the rig myself and now it just turns on for exactly 5 seconds and then turns off. At first I thought the front power button was wired wrong, as I can't turn it on from the front power button, only the switch at the back from the psu. I'm also thinking that my case is missing a cable as I've seen people talking about a 4-pin connector and I do not have any 4-pins in my case.

I've looked through countless forums and YouTube videos and have tried the following:
- removing and replacing ram
- removing and replacing cmos battery
- checking all cables are secure

It also would seems like there is an issue with my psu but it's brand new so I doubt it is faulty

You need to have them between the board and the case. And only in the spots where there are screw holes in the Motherboard.

All the other cables came with it yes. To clarify, does the atx12v usually come with the case or the psu? Because I believe I see said cable attached to my old (worn-out) psu and not my old tower case

The cpu and mobo have previously run together with no issues for 3+ years. I've also had a technician out recently (before I upgraded some of my parts) and he said there were no issues with the mobo or cpu

What exactly did you upgrade?

You previously stated :

and then;

There is no plug on the gpu for any cable. I was co fused about this at first as my last 2 gpus have needed cables, but I've checked up and down this msi gtx1050 and there is no port to be found
