As above, I need to complete build for programs like Autocad, Sketchup, 3dsmax and as fast rendering. Price ceeling is at about $1500-$1600. I'm not planning to OC. I hope for a very fast processor (LGA 2011?), SSD + HDD, between 16 and 32gig of RAM (of course 32 better...). No gaming included, please don't excell $160 for GPU (GTX 1050?). In price please include at about $150 for optical drive, montage, shipping and operating system. Thank you for all your responses!

Mariusz_3,

What country are you in?

Are you agreeable to used parts- especially the CPU?

For your uses, you need both a very good single-thread performance and for rendering as many cores as possible and a lot of RAM,, and a fast disk- an expensive combination.

Here is my thought:

1. HP Z620 Workstation / Computer Case Chassis with Front Panel 800W PSU 644311-005 Brand New Case / 800W Power Supply PSU / Fans > $219

I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you but, a really good workstation is going to cost double your price range. I was being a cheapskate when I built mine back in 2014, and it cost me well over $2000. First off, you're going down the wrong path with your GPU. You need a CAD-based video card: either from NVIDIA's Quadro or AMD's Firepro series of cards. Here are the specs of a build that will make you productive,

Thereby, with a new case / chassis, GPU, and disks but used motherboard, CPU, RAM, every subsystem is high performance. and it's very expandable as an E5- v2 can be 12-core and the z620 can use two of them.

The E5-2673 v2 is a fantastic performance- 8-cores @ 3.3/4.0GHz and has a Passmark CPU Mark of 16320 and the single thread Mark is in the top tier for 8-core Xeons- 2009 - but it's also rather rare. It may be necessary to start with something like a E5-1660 v2 6-core @ 3.7/4.0 > (13735 / 2077) for about $500 and wait for a good price on an E5-1680 v2- about $1,100 now) or better, an E5-2667 V2 (8-core @ 3.3/4.0GHz)- these are running at about $800 these days. If you buy an E5-2667 V2, a second one can be added later for 16 cores /32 threads. I have a z620 16 cores /32 thread (2.9/3.8GHz) rendering system and it will run a CPU Sketchup/Vray 3180 X 2160 rendering of a 160MB model (single lighting source) in under 11 minutes.

I'm an advocate for Quadros for this kind of work- viewport support, higher anti-aliasing and you may wish to have a look at Autodesk certified hardware as they will not or reluctantly support problems if the GPU is not certified.

Cheers,

BambiBoom
