Hi im thinking I of upgrading my cpu because I feel like my cpu (Intel 2 Duo @2.00 Ghz) is really bottle-necking my graphics card (NVIDIA GTX 750ti) and was wondering how to approach it seeing as I am going I need to buy a new mobo if I'm going to upgrade my cpu because it is socket 775lga which is discontinued.my budget is about £150. I would much prefer. A quad core but if theres a dual core good enough I would love to hear your recommendation. Thank you

if its strictly for gaming u need

g4560 + any asus h110 mobo.(or buy g4400 if can't find a place that will flash a h110 mobo for kaby lake use, they have essentially the same irl performance but 4560 is newer with like 3$ difference) Dont look at synthetic benchmarks, i've seen a lot of fps tests for modern titles, they have like 2-3 fps difference at most despite the fact that i3 is twice the price. And price performance point for i5 is even worse. With what you save, you can even upgrade ram or storage

edit: Apparently there is a significant difference between G4400 and G4560, G4560 has hyperthreading and g4400 dont, which is a big deal on cpu intensive titles. Get G4560 and buy a h110 board(atm cheaper than b250/h170 boards by...
