DVI to vga adapter

I've found a adapter but I don't know if it will work with me can someone help please!
I have a graphics card with one hdmi which is in one of my monitors but the other ports are display port and dvi 24+1
And my monitor only had vga and dvi 24+5

Unless its an active adapter, it wont work

Just make sure you get the right adapter, since there's DVI-D I and A I think.

you can use a DVI cable that is 24+1 with that monitor, the extra 4 pins are for audio, you'll have no issues with video if you want audio you'd have to either use other form of audio or get a display port/hdmi to dvi 24+5 adapter if you want audio from the monitor from what it sounds.

DVI to DVI should work. If you get the right adapter. But you wont get sound

I never use sound on my top monitor !
So if I get this

And plugged that into my gpu and my monitor which is a 24+1 it will work fine
