I am a first time builder and I have purchased the Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 and Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor. Unfortunately Im pretty sure I need to update my BIOS so they are compatible but I dont know how to access the BIOS without a working CPU. Any suggestion or ideas on how to do that would be awesome! Thanks!

Skylake is the chipset that your board supports off the shelf. the i3/5/7 6XXX series of processors.

And yes, just your average PC repair store. They will hopefully be able to simply put a skylake processor in your machine and upgrade the bios and then give it back.

The easiest way would be to find a friend with a Skylake chip and do it by flashing the bios.

If that is not an option, you will probably have to take it to a shop and pay them to do it for you.

Thanks for the quick reply! Sorry but what exactly is a Skylake Chip? And if I was to take it to a store would it be just your average PC repair store?
Thanks Again
