Originally had windows 7 prem on pc , then downloaded win10 since it was free. Now i got a problem while reformating pc ( to go back to win7) and it deleted winload.exe. do i neeed to put win7 or win10 on a usb stick? And if so which win10 version as i did free upgrade

well do you want windows 7 or windows 10 ? either way you will need to put a iso or the cd into a usb thumb drive using Rufus and then you will be able to boot and reinstall the OS you want

Put Win10 on a USB stick and boot from it to clean install. You can download the current Win10 ISO from Microsoft.
You will not need a license because it was registered when you upgraded.
