Turning my computer on and off by PSU

Ok so when I build my computer in summer of 2K16 I put a brand new EVGA 80+ bronze 600 watt PSU in it. However when I was hooking all the connections up I could not connect my power switch to the motherboard, so I left it unplugged and lived without a on/off switch on the front of the case. So I kept turning the PSU on and off whenever I wanted to use my computer. Now, when I flip the switch I get nothing, the PSU doesn't even try to power on. Do I need to replace the PSU and figure a way to hook up the power switch? Thank you

There's usually a setting in the BIOS, something like "In case of power failure" to restart automatically. Find the place on MB for Start switch, it's just 2 pins that have to be shorted for a moment to start everything up.
