Greetings. I have gotten bored of constantly booting up my computer and typing in 123456. I know that it is possible to turn off password lock, but I do need at least some protection from others going onto my computer whenever I'm away. I also know there is Ubuntu, but it looks like it all is open source and you need to code it, and I'm don't know anything about it. I am using Windows 10 Home. Are there any other ways to unlock, most likely using a third party program? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

There's 3 ways you can set in windows: password, pin, and picture password. There's also other ways but require other hardware, biometrics ie fingerprint scanner, things like that. Picture password can do patterns like you want.

Well i mean, no matter what you use it will still require some effort.

Of course. I'm just saying something as in for example; those pattern locks on androids or something like that.

You can use a "pin" code instead. It works like a password but only 4 digits and no need to press enter. Just use Num lock to get to the login screen and enter the 4 numbers and your in. It's the least effort I know of with a password protected account.

Found this after some quick googling, every link seemed to lead to this one software called "Maze Lock"
