For some reason, both of my shift keys aren't working. I have removed the keys and then added them back physically, tried running a troubleshooter, etc.

I have an USB keyboard connected right now and the shift keys are working fine on the separate keyboard.

Any suggestions/ideas on how to fix this?

Model: Toshiba Satellite C55-B5200

Solution
It could have something to do with sticky keys.

- Go to Control Panel then look for Ease of Access
- Click on Change how your keyboard works.
- Uncheck where it says Turn on Sticky Keys and click OK.

If this doesn't work try checking the keyboard language if set correctly.
- Go back to Control Panel then look for Region and Language and make sure all tabs at set to United States.
- Click Apply when a change is made then try your keyboard again.
