I apologize if this question is like beating a dead horse.

2 days ago i built another PC. My First AMD Build.

Specs are as follows:
MSI 970 Krait mobo
AMD FX8350
16 GB Corsair Vengance
MSI RX 480 8GB

I have Cox 150mbps Internet
A Netgear CM400 Cable modem
Netgear R6400 wifi router

2 phones connected via wifi
2 pc's via Ethernet cable

Everything has been updated to current drivers. My pc is the only device experiencing the issue.
My roommate has no issues and a very fast speed. My network icon keeps popping up with the red x. Seems to go for a little while with no issues, and other times it happens every minute. and only lasts a few seconds.

Ive gone into power management and unchecked the box to allow the pc to turn off the adapter to save power.
and ive tried the speed and duplex fix on all options and it still does the same thing. I did notice a huge increase in speed by changing the setting from Auto to 100mbps Full Duplex. but the disconnection still happens.

As i am typing this it hasnt done it once. But when i hop on Overwatch im lucky to make it through a single match. or if i do a google search some point from opening the tab to clicking a few links it will do it multiple times.

My roommate said his did the same thing after he built it, but he did the "power management fix" and its been fine ever since.

I appreciate any feedback. Thank you

ill try that. could something that simple really be the solution? my buddy is taking a cisco class and he mentioned that too. havent tried yet, because if im getting internet most of the time i dont see how the cable could be the issue lol unless my cat or something moves the cable and there is a short? ill definitely give it a shot tho. thank you
