i have a new pc with all new components and i am having an issue with my Raid1 setup.

One of the disks (WD2002FFSX) randomly goes missing from the array when i reboot my pc.
It doesnt show in bios but i can see the disk is powered on and spinning. Intel reports the array as degraded.

after disconnecting and reconnecting the drive, it will work again and rebuild the array.
Everything is fine until it randomly stops (which coincides with a reboot).
At this point intel says my raid is degraded and the disk is missing from bios again.

I have tried swapping the disk to a different sata port on my mb, and using a different sata cable.
today i even swapped out the disk with a new disk of the same kind, which worked fine for a while,
but as soon as i rebooted, the new disk went missing.

PC Components: (Windows 7 Pro SP1)
MSI Z170A M7 LGA 1151 Motherboard
I7 6700k processor
1x WD2001FFSX (2TB WD RED PRO)
1x WD2002FFSX (2TB WD RED PRO) (BOTH GO MISSING)

i am not sure what to do at this point, i hope someone can help me.
