I just built finished building my first model based on this Youtube video, but I can't get it to post. The motherboard is a MSI H110 Pro VD. The fans and system appear to be on, but nothing shows up on my monitor. (Monitor and cable are both compatible). The DRAM led is solid red.

I'm using 2 Ballistix Sport 8gb ram sticks. I've tried switching the sticks from the ram slots, using one stick a time, but the DRAM light still remains. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting all wires, but nothing. I have tried loosening the cooler above the cpu, but that has not helped either. I have also tried resetting the bios, but the light is still there.

I'm really frustrated with this, and would appreciate some insight on the issue. Is the motherboard just bad?? I'm very new to this..please help.

Here are my full specs:

Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100
Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2400
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mini, 4GB GDDR5
WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM hard drive
MSI Intel Skylake H110 LGA 1151 DDR4
Zalman ATX Mid Tower PC Case

Here is the youtube video I based my model from. The build is exactly the same:

never heard of a MSI H551 Pro VD. , but have heard of a MSI H110M PRO-VD is that you board ?

if so, the led by dram means : DRAM - indicates DRAM is not detected or fail according to manual on page 15 https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1133479/Msi-H110m-Pro-Vd.html?page=15#manual

I know a lot of people will say, 2400mhz will run 2133mhz on a 2133mhza only motherboard, but my bed is your board doesn't know what to do with the timing of your ram.
I would suggest using 2133mhz ram on your motherboard to confirm it is the ram, and it doesn't like otherwise not a bad board.
