My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2

I want to upgrade the rams im looking at is Kingston Technology HyperX FURY 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L CL10 DIMM. are these compatible with my motherboard. ive looked and looked at specs, but honestly i dont know what im looking for. can you help me please?

Fiz wick,

looking at page 10 of your motherboard manual I see the following information : https://www.manualslib.com/manual/453791/Gigabyte-Ga-P55m-Ud2.html?page=10#manual

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
Support for DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules NON-ECC.

the memory you chose is DDR3L <- L for low voltage (1.35v) and will not run on your system

I suggest you use these terms for your search: DDR3-1333 Non ECC 4GB 240-pin DIMM

newegg results : https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=DDR3-1333+Non+ECC+4GB+240-pin+DIMM&N=-1&isNodeId=1

any of those will run on your system

Would you go up then to lets say 2400/2200 then? is it worth it. or is 1333 sufficient enough? im not a hardcore gamer who needs everything on high. but i currently only have 4gb of ram. and as things are evolving i was running out years ago
