Okay, so I got a nice deal on a refurbished Alienware 15 R2 from amazon. The specs included 6700 HQ, 980m, 16 GB DDR4 and a 500 Gig SSD + 1 TB Hard Drive combo.
However, on booting up the system, I found that system was booting from the HDD and the SSD was missing. "This PC" only showed a 1 terabyte hard drive. I opened up disk management and even there it showed only a 1 TB hard drive. The SSD didn't show up, not even as an unallocated drive.
On unscrewing the bottom panel, I found that there really was a 512 GB Samsung M.2 SSD along with my regular Hitachi Hard Drive. In the bios however, it shows that the device connected to the m.2 slot is a hard drive with the same model no. as my Hitachi boot hard drive.
I can post pictures/screenshots if needed.
