At this moment I only own a hdd and since it's filling up and really slow I think it's time to buy an ssd. I was thinking of buying a samsung 950 pro but noticed that my motherboard (H97m pro4) doesn't have a m.2 slot. I looked at some m.2 adapters but the port thing that goes into the motherboard looked a little small for my available 1x pci port and my 1x pcie 2.0 port. Could someone tell me if it isn't possible for me to use the samsung 950 pro? If it is possible, what do I have to buy?

Solution
Just buy a SATA SSD. If you've never had a SSD the difference will be so drastic that it won't matter if it's m2 or SATA. Also some of those boards have lots of issues using a m2 drive as a boot drive that don't natively support m2
